2CU Online (Pty) Ltd (“2CU”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights as a data subject.

2CU Online (Pty) Ltd is a South African registered company operating the 2CU Business Development Hub (2cu.online) and the CV2CU Employment Platform (cv2cu.online). We act as the Responsible Party in terms of POPIA.
2. What Personal Information We Collect
- Name, surname, email address, phone number
- CV/résumé content (work history, education, skills)
- Company name and registration details (for business users)
- B-BBEE status and CSI spend information (for corporate sponsors)
- Payment information (processed securely via iKhokha/PayFast — we do not store card details)
- Usage data, device identifiers, and IP addresses
3. Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)
We collect personal information to: provide our CV building and job-matching services; connect job seekers with corporate CSI sponsors; process payments for vouchers and subscriptions; comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and improve our platform.
4. Your Rights Under POPIA
You have the right to: access your personal information; correct inaccurate information; object to processing; request deletion (right to erasure); and lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Chat sessions with CU BUDDY are purged after 30 days unless you are a registered user, in which case they are retained for the duration of your account.
